Product Introduction

Scalpel usually consists of a blade and a handle. The blade usually has a cutting edge and a mounting slot for docking with the handle of the surgical knife. The material is usually pure titanium, titanium alloy, stainless steel or carbon steel, which is generally disposable. The blade is used to cut through skin and muscle, the tip is used to clean blood vessels and nerves, and the hilt is used for blunt dissection. Method of use

Depending on the size and position of the incision, the knife holding posture can be divided into finger pressing type (also known as piano or bow holding type), grasping type (also known as knife catching type), pen holding and reverse lifting type (also known as external pen holding type) and other holding methods.

Installation and disassembly methods

The left hand holds the end of the blade side of the handle, the right hand holds the needle holder (needle holder), and clamps the upper part of the back of the blade hole at a 45° Angle. The left hand holds the handle, and forces downward at the hole slot until the blade is completely installed on the handle. When disassembling, the left hand holds the handle of the surgical knife, the right hand holds the needle holder, clamps the back end of the blade hole, slightly lifts it, and pushes it forward along the handle slot

Matters needing attention

1. Every time the surgical blade is used, it needs to be disinfected and sterilized. Any of the methods, such as high-pressure steam sterilization, boiling disinfection and soaking disinfection, can be used
2. When the blade is matched with the handle, the disassembly should be easy and there should be no jam, too loose or fracture.
3. When passing the knife, do not turn the blade towards yourself or others to avoid injury.
4. No matter what kind of knife holding method, the protruding surface of the blade should be vertical to the tissue, and the tissue should be cut layer by layer. Do not operate with the tip of the knife.
5. When doctors use scalpels to operate for a long time, there will often be acid trapped and other discomfort in the wrist, resulting in wrist strain. Therefore, it may adversely affect the operation effect, and also bring health risks to the doctor’s wrist.
6. When cutting muscle and other tissues, blood vessels are often accidentally injured. In this case, it is necessary to wash with water to find the bleeding position as soon as possible, otherwise it will cause serious difficulties to the normal operation
